About the Course:

Foundations is a dynamic, high-energy class designed for young artists ready to take the next step in their musical theatre journey. Through acting, singing, and dance, students learn how to bring characters and stories to life on stage by building confidence, creativity, and stage presence along the way.

Each 90-minute class is divided into three focused segments — acting, singing, and dance — giving students the tools they need to grow as well-rounded performers. They’ll explore character objectives and blocking, strengthen their ensemble singing and breath control, and develop storytelling skills through movement and choreography.

Throughout the eight-week session, students gradually combine these skills into polished performance pieces. Early weeks focus on ensemble building, character work, and foundational techniques, while later classes integrate choreography, harmonies, and staging into cohesive scenes and songs. Families are invited in the final week for an Open House celebrating the ensemble’s work.

Whether your child is discovering their passion for the stage or building on previous experience, Foundations offers a supportive and exciting space to grow their skills and shine in the spotlight.
