Stratford Trip 2025

Hello Orpheus Friends & Family!

The moment we've all been waiting for is here—it's time to officially book our trip to Stratford!

A huge thank you to everyone who filled out the interest form—your input was instrumental in shaping this year’s exciting adventure!

Over the past few weeks, we've been working hard to finalize transportation, accommodations, workshops, and all the extra fun. You’ll find a detailed outline of these plans, along with estimated costs, in the attached questionnaire.

We’ve also included a draft itinerary and a preliminary breakdown of expenses to give you a clearer picture of what to expect. Keep in mind, these are just estimates—once everyone locks in their responses, we’ll be in touch with a finalized itinerary and confirmed pricing.

For transportation, accommodations and show tickets, the cost comes to roughly $850 person. This price is already well below market value, but we recognize that it may still be out of reach for some members of our community. We will be accepting donations to ensure this experience remains accessible, inclusive and open to all who want to participate.

While many of the workshops and activities are optional, we highly encourage you to join in! These experiences are designed to be enjoyed together, and some require a minimum number of participants. Some also have a limited number of spaces, so to keep things fair we’ll be giving priority based on the order in which forms are received. The sooner you submit, the better!

Once your form is submitted, Arielle will followup to confirm your reservation and provide an invoice. 

Important Notes:

  • Submitting the form confirms your attendance on the trip. 
  • Please fill out one form per person, even if you’re traveling with others.
  • The deadline to submit is May 15th. After this date, we can’t guarantee accommodation for changes, additions, or cancellations.
  • We’ll be hosting an optional in-person info session soon (date TBD) to go over everything, answer your questions, and give you a chance to meet your fellow travelers!

Where We’re Staying: Home2 Suites by Hilton – Woodstock!

We’ve reserved a block of 60 rooms at the brand-new Home2 Suites by Hilton in Woodstock — just a quick 30-minute drive from Stratford! The hotel opens in June, so we’ll be among the first to enjoy it.

There are two cozy room options to choose from:
Two Queen Studio Suite – $195 + tax per night
King Studio Suite – $205 + tax per night
(Both room types include a queen pull-out sofa — perfect for extra sleeping space!)

Let’s Hit the Road – Orpheus Style

We’re working on chartering a comfy coach bus (or maybe even two!) to make getting to Stratford a breeze.

Here’s the scoop:
A full 56-person coach bus would cost about $250 per person.
This price is based on the bus being full — so the final cost may shift a bit depending on how many people are hopping aboard and how many busses we need.

What’s included?

  • Round-trip ride from Ottawa to Stratford

  • Shuttle service on Saturday between the hotel in Woodstock and Stratford, so you can go to shows, workshops, and activities without worrying about parking or directions!

Heads-up: The bus will run on a set schedule for hotel pickups and drop-offs on Saturday, based on our itinerary. If you’re planning to do any extra activities not listed in this form, just double-check the timing — we wouldn’t want you to miss the bus! Those times will be decided at a later date.

Prefer to drive yourself?
No problem! You’re totally welcome to road trip with your own crew. Just keep in mind that gas and parking are on you to sort out with your group.

Let’s Talk Theatre

Your Stratford adventure includes two fantastic shows — and we’ve snagged some great seats in Zone B just for our group!

Included Performances:

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels – July 13 @ 2:00 PM

Ticket prices:
Adults – $75.51
Students – $53.11

But wait, there’s more theatre magic if you want it! 
Interested in catching additional shows while we’re there? We’ve got access to discounted group rates — as long as at least 10 people sign up for each extra performance.

If you check off any of the optional shows on the form, we’ll send you a special link so you can purchase your tickets directly at the discounted rate.

We’ve got some amazing behind-the-scenes experiences lined up for Saturday and Sunday mornings, plus an exclusive peek into the magic of Stratford’s stagecraft on Saturday evening!

Available Workshops:
Each workshop is specially discounted for our group!

  • Adults: $16.95

  • Students: $11.30

Saturday Morning from 10:30-11:30:
Annie Dance Workshop – Learn choreography straight from the show!

  • Space for up to 70 people 

Sunday Morning from 11:00-12:00 (happening at the same time – pick one!):
Audition Techniques Workshop – Tips, tricks, and confidence-building with Stratford pros!
Improv Workshop – Unleash your creativity and quick thinking on your feet!

  • Each of these has space for just 35 people, and we’ll need at least 20 participants per session to make it happen.

Set Changeover Viewing – Saturday @ 5:00 PM
Ever wonder how they flip the stage between shows? Watch it all happen in real-time!
Cost: $35 per person
This is a truly unique experience you won’t want to miss!

Bonus: Costume Workshop (TBD!)

Step Into Stratford’s Story – Walking Tour Time!

We’ve booked an awesome History & Heritage Walking Tour for Saturday afternoon — the perfect way to explore the charm and stories of Stratford beyond the stage!

Tour Times:

  • Group 1: 1:30 PM

  • Group 2: 3:00 PM

  • Each tour is 1 hour long and covers up to 2 km of walking, so bring your comfy shoes!

Space is limited to 20 people per tour, so don’t wait to sign up!
Cost: $16.50 per person

Soak up some local history, get a few steps in, and see Stratford through a whole new lens!

Saturday Night Group Dinner – Interested?

We’re looking into booking a group dinner on Saturday evening so we can all relax, share some laughs, and enjoy a great meal together after a big day of theatre and exploring!
